Vintage Markets in Turin: Flea Markets & Second-Hand Shopping (2026 Guide)

Vintage Markets in Turin: Flea Markets & Second-Hand Shopping (2026 Guide)

I have always enjoyed visiting second-hand markets and shops. Back when I lived in England, I would often visit charity shops. I used to buy items to resell for profit, and I even started a little furniture business flipping pieces and selling them on.

When I moved to Italy, it was harder to replicate that kind of business. I quickly realised there wasn’t a huge demand for shabby chic furniture (like there is back home), and Italians tend to keep their brown furniture forever! The resale value is often much higher too, so it’s harder to make a big profit on it.

Anyway… in recent years my interest has peaked again. I genuinely feel that second-hand quality is often much better than the new stuff in the shops today.

At least one weekend a month, I visit Gran Balon Market in Turin.

In 2026, I want to visit every market on this list so make sure you come back to this post for my personal opinions and honest reviews as I go!

If you want to see what Balon Market is really like, I filmed a vlog while I was there. You’ll see the stalls, the atmosphere, and the kind of things you can find.

Here’s my list of the best vintage markets in Turin, plus flea markets and second-hand spots worth visiting.

Tips before you go:

  • Go early (08:00–09:30) for the best finds
  • Bring cash (many stalls don’t take cards)
  • Check items carefully (stains, zips, stitching, damage)
  • Negotiate politely it often works well here
  • Check the weather
  • Bring cash
  • Go early
  • Confirm dates online (Guida Torino is useful)

1) Piazza Vittorio Veneto – 1st Sunday Market (Antiquariato Minore)

Piazza Vittorio Veneto is very central, and the stalls spread across the large square. It’s easy to reach by tram, bus, or a short walk if you’re already in the centre.

2) Il Libro Ritrovato – Book Market (Rare + Out-of-Print Books)

When: 1st Sunday of the month

Time: 08:00 – 18:00

Where: Piazza Carlo Felice (Central Turin)

What you’ll find:

  • Antique books
  • Out-of-print books
  • Old magazines and prints
  • Collectible editions

If you love books, this one is a dream. It’s especially great if you’re into older or rare editions — and it’s also a nice place to pick up something unique to take home.

Tip: If you’re looking for collectible books, check the condition of the pages and spine before buying.

3) Balon Flea Market (Every Saturday)

When: Every Saturday

Time: 07:00 – 17:00

Where: Borgo Dora / Via Borgo Dora area, Turin

What you’ll find:

  • Second-hand clothes
  • Antiques and old furniture pieces
  • Vintage home items
  • Kitchen bits and ornaments
  • Collectibles and random bargains

Balon is one of the most well-known antique markets in Turin, and it has a proper old-school vibe. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s a fun way to spend a Saturday morning. Vendors are friendly and are open to haggling. I have been here at all times of the day but I prefer the afternoon.

Tip: Wear comfy shoes you’ll walk more than you think and keep an eye on your belongings.

What I bought at Balon recently:

I purchased these jackets for 15 euros each, it was a bargin if you ask me the one on the right is real leather sherling. I hit the lottery.

4) Gran Balon (Big Monthly Antique Market)

When: 2nd Sunday of the month

Time: 08:00 – 19:00

Where: Borgo Dora, Turin

What you’ll find:

  • More antiques than the regular Balon
  • Proper vintage furniture and decor
  • Unique home pieces
  • Vintage clothing
  • Retro items and collectibles

This is the one I go to the most. It’s basically the Balon… but bigger and better, with a lot more variety. If you’re wondering where to buy vintage in Turin, this is a great place to start.

Tip: If you want interesting pieces for your home, Gran Balon is the best market for it. I have found that the Gran Balon prices tend to higher than the normal Saturday prices at the market. Also keep an eye on your personal belongings.

5) Crocetta Più – Vintage + Artisan Market

When: 2nd Sunday of the month

Time: 08:30 – 18:45

Where: Largo Cassini (Crocetta area)

What you’ll find:

  • Vintage clothing
  • Accessories and bags
  • Artisan products
  • Made in Italy fashion pieces
  • Stylish second-hand items

The Crocetta market is already popular in Turin, but once a month it becomes Crocetta Più, with a bigger focus on vintage and artisan stalls. It’s a lovely one if you prefer a slightly more curated vibe.

Tip: A good choice if you want fashion finds without digging through piles.

6) Piazza Abba – Second-Hand & Recycling Market

When: 4th Sunday of the month (usually not held in January & August)

Time: 08:00 – 19:00

Where: Piazza Abba

What you’ll find:

  • Vintage clothing & accessories
  • Collectibles and old objects
  • Books and magazines
  • Vinyl records and musical instruments
  • Small appliances
  • Bikes and small transport items
  • Sports items
  • A bit of everything

This one feels like a proper treasure hunt. If you enjoy second-hand shopping in Turin and don’t mind rummaging, it’s definitely worth visiting.

Tip: Don’t rush this one the best things are usually hidden.

7) “I ♥ Stra Mercatino” – Used + Antique Items Market

When: 2nd Sunday of the month (except December)

Time: 08:00 – 18:00

Where: Via Don Grioli

What you’ll find:

  • Clothes and accessories
  • Collectibles
  • Books and photos
  • Writing items and stationery
  • Vinyl records
  • Musical instruments
  • Art prints and antique objects

This market is organised by an association focused on reuse and reducing waste, which I really like. It’s a good one for small items, gifts, and bits for your home.

Tip: Great for finding unusual little pieces without spending much.

8) Eccellenza Artigiana – Local Market (Handmade + Artisan)

When: 3rd Sunday of the month (except July & August)

Time: 08:30 – 19:30

Where: Piazza Palazzo di Città

What you’ll find:

  • Handmade crafts
  • Ceramics and glass items
  • Lace and embroidery
  • Local food products
  • Artisan gifts

Not second-hand, but still worth mentioning if you like local handmade items. It’s a nice one to browse if you’re already in the centre.

9) Vintage della Gran Madre – Vintage Fashion Market

When: 3rd Sunday of the month

Time: 08:00 – 18:00

Where: Piazza Gran Madre di Dio

What you’ll find:

  • Vintage clothes
  • Jackets and coats
  • Hats and jewellery
  • Bags and accessories
  • Retro-style pieces

This one is in a really elegant area, and it’s easy to get to. If your main goal is vintage fashion, this is one to add to your list of vintage markets in Turin.

Tip: This is a good place for statement pieces.

Mistakes people make at Turin flea markets

  • Arriving too late (the good stuff goes early)
  • Only bringing cards (cash is still king)
  • Not checking zips/stains carefully
  • Overpaying because you feel awkward negotiating
  • Buying something heavy with no plan to carry it home
  • Not dressing for the weather.

Turin is a great city for second-hand shopping. Whether you love vintage fashion, antiques, books, or just a random bargains.

And like I mentioned before I’ll be updating this post throughout 2026, so check back for my personal favourites and honest opinions once I’ve visited more of them.

If you have any favourite markets in Turin that I’ve missed, tell me I’m always looking for new places to explore

xoxo
